| Firm overview Dörffer and Opfergelt were founded in the 1920´s by Dr. Kurt Dörffer, who represented and advised clients until 1996. After extensions in 1966 and 1997, the law firm based in Cologne, Germany, reached its current size in 2003, when joined by the law firm Opfergelt and associates.
In order to offer the best services, we have specialised in the area of employment law, insurance law, company law, industrial property law, tenancy law, private building law, contract drafting and evaluation, and payment orders and enforcement proceedings. Because of our specialisation and long time experience, continuing trainings and great information resources in our specialised areas, we can represent and council you the best way possible. Due to our number of specialised areas, we offer you practical and quick solutions. If your questions concern areas not covered by us, we will provide specialised colleagues, We work together, on a continuous basis, with tax consultants and certified public accountants. We also help you to prevent long and expensive law suites. We will draft and evaluate contracts, support you at negotiations and conduct negotiations for you. Based on our established network, we can offer your experienced representation and legal advice not only in Germany, but also in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Spain. Costs You will get a complete and exact estimation of the involved costs. Court representation is based on the German lawyers remuneration law (RVG). Out of court representation and advice is subject to individual prices. An estimate of costs is free of charge.
